Swimming Pools in Wilmington, NC — What You Should Know
What types of in-ground pools do you install?
Forest Outdoor Living installs fiberglass and concrete (gunite) in-ground swimming pools. Fiberglass pools arrive as pre-formed shells and install quickly — ideal for standard shapes and minimal maintenance. Concrete pools are built custom on-site and can be any shape or size. Both types can include water features, sun shelves, spas, LED lighting, and automation systems.
When is a swimming pool the right investment in coastal NC?
A swimming pool is a strong investment in coastal NC because the warm climate extends the swimming season to 6–8 months per year. It adds significant value to your property, creates a private resort experience at home, and gives your family a gathering space that rivals any beach or community pool. Properties with pools are in high demand in Wilmington's competitive real estate market.
What does swimming pool installation require in NC?
Pool installation requires a building permit, site survey, excavation, plumbing and electrical work, and safety fencing per NC code. The complete project also typically includes a pool deck, drainage system, and equipment pad for the pump and filter. Forest Outdoor Living manages every phase — permitting, excavation, installation, decking, landscaping, and final inspection.
